Registration

  • How do I sign up for the Localiza Loyalty program?

    ​Click "Sign Up" on the loyalty page.

  • I forgot my password. What do I do?

    Click “I forgot my password” and provide the document number you used to sign up and your loyalty number and we will send an email message with a code to reset your password. When you open the email, click the link, type in the code to reset your password and follow the instructions.

    If you do not receive the email in your inbox, check Span or contact 24 hour Customer Assistance at 0800 979 2020. ​
  • I don't remember my Loyalty Number. Where do I find it?
    If you remember your password, use your CPF and password to login to find your Loyalty number at "Loyalty > My Info." 

    If you don’t remember your password, click “I forgot my password,” provide the document number you used to sign up and we will send you an email with your Loyalty number and a code to reset your password. When you open the email, click the link, type in the code to reset your password and follow the instructions.

  • How do I update my information?

    ​It’s easy! Go to “Loyalty > My Info” and update your information. If you are unable to edit information, please call our 24-hour Customer Service at 0800 979 2020 ​

  • I changed my email address. How do I update my new email address in the Localiza Loyalty Program?
    ​If you remember your password, login with your CPF or Loyalty number, go to “Loyalty > My Info > Personal Info,” change your email address and click “SAVE.”

My Account

  • Where can I find points transactions?

    ​Login and go to “Loyalty > My Points.” There you can find your balance and points extract.​

  • When do my points expire?

    ​Loyalty points expire 24 months after the transaction date and may be found using the "My Points" menu on the Localiza Loyalty program page.​

  • The balance of my points is incorrect. What do I do?

    ​Points are granted upon confirmation of payment. If you have any questions, please call our 24-hour Customer Service at 0800 979 2020.​

Earning points

  • How do I earn points?

    ​Whenever you rent a car at Localiza, you earn Loyalty Points. It’s the same in any branch office across Latin America: you rent a car, you earn points. You can also earn Promotional Points with exclusive offers from Localiza Loyalty.  And when you get a category upgrade, you also earn Bonus Points that bring you even more benefits. ​

  • Do I earn points from all rentals?

    ​Participants receive points from rental, excluding rentals from monthly rental contracts, insurers, insurance brokers, transfers, courtesies, bids, replacement of Fleet Management cars, contracts with the Rental Car segment, Corporate contracts or specific contracts defined by Localiza. ​

  • How do points work for Green, Gold and Platinum clients?
    ​The Localiza Loyalty Program has three categories: Green, Gold and Platinum. In all categories, you can earn daily rentals and enjoy the benefits that bring agility, comfort and convenience. The advantages increase as you accumulate Loyalty points and become eligible for category upgrades. That’s why the more you rely on Localiza, the better and more satisfying our relationship becomes.
    GREEN
    From 0 to 2,999 Loyalty points in 12 months
    GOLD
    From 3,000 to 4,999 Loyalty points in 12 months
    PLATINUM
    Over 5,000 Loyalty points in 12 months
  • Can I transfer points from my credit card to my Localiza Loyalty Program account?

    ​At this time, you cannot transfer points from credit cards to the Localiza Loyalty Program.​

  • I rented a car and did not provide my Loyalty number. Can I request my points afterwards?

    ​To earn points there is no need to present your card or Loyalty number upon payment.  Points are earned directly by your account linked to your do​cument.​

  • How do I register points before picking up the car?

    ​Points are earned automatically by the account linked to your CPF and do not require registration in advance.​

  • Do rentals at international branches also earn points?

    ​Yes, points earned at international branches are converted as follows: current table or link to page​.

  • How many times to I have to rent a car to get a free daily rental?

    ​Points are earned proportionally to the amount spent on rentals, rather than the number of rentals. Each car group requires a specific number of points for rental.

  • Do I earn points on rentals that are paid with points?

    ​Yes, you receive points on the amount spent on the rental on point-earning expenses: list of point-earning expenses​.

Daily Rental Redemption

  • How do I redeem my points for daily rentals?
    ​You can redeem points at any branch and on any date, subject to fleet availability. You do not need to state that you are redeeming points when reserving a daily rental, but rather upon picking up the car at a branch. Each car group requires a specific number of points for rental. This number includes the rental fee + insurance (liability and car) + taxes.

    Redemption requires complete daily rentals (you may not redeem half-day rentals). However, you may use points for partial or complete payment of a rental. You may pay part of your rentals using points in one of two cases:

    1 – If you choose not to pay all daily rentals with Loyalty points, the cost of remaining days will be charged separately.
    2 – If you add options that do not come free with the daily rental (ex. baby seat), the price of these items will be charged separately.
  • What is the minimum number of points required for a daily rental?
    ​Each car group requires a specific number of points for rental, defined by Localiza. 
  • Can I use points from different Loyalty members to redeem a daily rental?

    ​No, However, you may transfer points in any amount greater than or equal to 3000 points.​

  • Can I redeem points for a daily rental for a third party?

    ​No, you may not redeem points for a daily rental for a third party. However, you may transfer points in any amount greater than or equal to 3000 points.​

Use/Expiration of points

  • Do points expire?

    ​Loyalty points expire 24 months after the transaction date and may be found using the "My Points" menu on the Localiza Loyalty program page.

  • Can I recovery my expired points?

    ​No, points are not renewable after expiration​.

  • If I use my points to make a reservation and cancel the reservation, do I lose the points?

    ​No, points are only deducted once the car has been picked up from the Localiza branch​.

Transferring Points

  • Are points transferrable?
    ​You may transfer points in any amount greater than or equal to 3000 points.​
  • Can I use my points in other Loyalty programs?

    ​No, at this time Localiza Loyalty Program points can only be used to rent cars from Localiza.​

Mobile application

  • Does Localiza have an app for cellphones, smartphones and tablets?
    ​Localiza has an official app available for iOS and Android.
    The app for iOS is compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch (iOS 6 or later).
    The Android app is available for devices running Android 4.1 or later.
    To download the app, go to the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Android).

    • Manage your reservations: Make, check and cancel reservations quickly.
    • Choose the model of your car*: Choose your preferred car model using the app.
    • Check in*: Streamline car pickup with the new Express Check-in service.
    •Find van information: Follow Localiza van location in real time at airports.
    • Search for branch offices: find the Localiza branch closest to you.

About the new Program

  • What is the Localiza Loyalty Program?
    ​The Localiza Loyalty program is the recognition of who we value the most: you. And the more we are together, on your travels and in your daily life, the more comfort and benefits we can offer you, including free rentals and benefits that provide more agility, comfort and convenience.

    Learn about the categories and benefits of the program, as well as how to accumulate and redeem points. It’s simple and quick. It’s for you!  The benefits increase as you accumulate points and climb categories. That’s why the more you rely on Localiza, the better and more satisfying our relationship becomes.
  • What benefits does the new program offer and how do I use them?
    ​Benefits vary by category and may include: choice of car model, express check-in, Loyalty upgrades during the year, choice of model via our app, free additional driver, express service at branches, grace periods for car return, exclusive transportation from branch to airport, bonus points.
  • I am already part of the Localiza Loyalty program. What changed?

    ​We now have a new points system: R$1.00 spent on expenses eligible for points will receive 1 Loyalty point. Your balance of points from the previous program was multiplied by 300 to adjust to the new concept. Furthermore, you gained a series of exclusive benefits according to your category.​

  • What types of points exist within the program?
    ​Localiza Points are any point within the Localiza Loyalty Program, which you can earn in three ways:

    1. Loyalty Points
    a. Points earned based on your total spending 
    b. For every R$1.00 you spend, you will earn 1 Loyalty point
    c. Only considered eligible within the category classification (you can upgrade your category by earning Loyalty points).
    d. Point-earning expenses:

    • Accessories
    • Extra mileage
    • Difference for a higher model
    • Contract adjustments
    • Overtime charges
    • Delivery fee
    • Return fee
    • Return fee

    2. Bonus Points
    a. Points earned by category. You can earn bonus points by:

    - Gold Clients earn a 10% bonus on Loyalty points, meaning they earn 0.10 bonus points for every point earned. (Ex: R$100.00 spent on point-earning expenses = 100 Loyalty points + 10 bonus points).

    - Platinum Clients earn a 25% bonus on Loyalty points, meaning they earn 0.25 bonus points for every point earned. (Ex: R$100.00 spent on point-earning expenses = 100 Loyalty points + 25 bonus points).

    3. Promotional Points
    a. Points earned through Localiza promotions or transfers:  Customer birthday, special promotions, rental promotions for specific category, manual donation of points, transfers, among others.
  • Is the Localiza Loyalty Program free?
    ​Yes. The Localiza Loyalty Program is not only free, but allows you to earn benefits.
  • What are the rules of the Localiza Loyalty Program?

  • Does Localiza ask for personal information by email?
    ​Localiza complies with a strict security policy to guarantee the privacy and confidentiality of information and data on our participants. Our email communication complies with protection standards, such as:

    - We only send emails if you register and provide authorization;
    - We never ask you to update or provide personal information by email;
    - We never ask for bank or credit card information;
    - We never ask you to send your password.

  • What advantages to Green, Gold and Platinum members receive?

  • Will my Loyalty points used this year be applied to a category upgrade in the Localiza Loyalty Program?

    ​Yes, the program considers Loyalty points earned over the last 12 months to classify clients in categories.​

  • Once I become a Gold or Platinum member, how long will I remain in the category?
    ​You are upgraded automatically once you reach the number of Loyalty Points required by the next category.

    You are reclassified in March of each year by your Loyalty point use over the last 12 months.
